The Studio aims to make it easier to build spaces that provide functionality, variety, delight, and a sense of belonging: a better Los Angeles. Urban Design Studio I consists of four courses that operate as an integrated design and research curriculum focusing on the New York metropolitan region. All work is based on the coordinated learning of concepts, working methods, historical precedents, research protocols, and representational strategies. The studio cannot predict the future, but will be provided with recent state of the research about emerging trends.
